The Republic of Moldova participated in Bucharest with a country stand at the Romanian Tourism Fair, spring edition 2022 from 24 to 27 February 2022. The SPRING edition promotes the most advantageous holidays, city-breaks or early booking for stays and trips in the spring-summer 2022 season. At the fair visitors had the opportunity to discover offers for cultural, rural or business tourism, treatment and adventure tourism.

The participation of the Republic of Moldova was made possible thanks to the financial support provided by the Investment Agency and the logistical organization provided by the National Association for Inbound and Domestic Tourism of Moldova, with the support of the Competitiveness Support Activity in the Light Industry and Tourism (MCTA) funded by the USAID Economic Development, Governance and Enterprise Growth in Europe and Eurasia (EDGE) Project.

Romania Tourism Fair contributes to the consolidation of the tourism industry. Moldova was represented by 8 ANTRIM members, all representatives of the Moldovan Tourism Industry.

Wineries: Mileștii Mici, Vinuri de Comrat, Purcari, Castel Mimi, Chateau Vartely and Cricova.

Travel agents: Tatrabis, Panda Tur and Go Adventure.

          

 

The visitors of Moldova's stand had the opportunity to taste the most famous wines produced in Moldova, to watch the promotional videos of the country, to take pictures of the installations of the Marzipan campaign exhibited in the photo area, to collect informational materials including brochures (Map of Moldova, Calendar of Events 2022, Authentic Moldova, Wine Map, Stefan cel Mare's Route, Map of Chisinau, etc.). 

The exhibition included:

• Organisation of wine tastings by exhibitors;
• Promotion of the tourism product of the Republic of Moldova by all participants in the exhibition through the distribution of information materials;
• Promotion and presentation of the "Tree of Life" cultural tourism events agenda for 2022;
• Visit of the Minister of Entrepreneurship and Tourism of Romania to the stand of Moldova, Mr. Constantin-Daniel CADARIU;
• Visit of the Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in Bucharest, Mr. Emil Jacotă;
• The location of Moldova's stand was mentioned in the exhibition catalogue.

On the evening of the first day of the fair, 24 February, the National Association for Inbound and Domestic Tourism in Moldova (ANTRIM) organised a small event called "On Dragobete, wine from Moldova" at the Pullmann Hotel, near Romexpo. 

The event was moderated by Cosmin Tudoran - #profudevin.

The wineries present at the event (Wines of Comrat, Cricova, Purcari, Castel MIMI, Château Vartely, Milestii Mici), made a presentation of their products accompanied by wine tasting.

Entry to the event was possible strictly by invitation, in a limited number.
